Michael Niren

CEO & President

Michael is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. He is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Canadian Bar Association’s Citizenship and Immigration Section, and the Associate Member of the American Bar Association.

He is frequently called upon to appear in the media to discuss Canadian and US immigration issues effecting North Americans. He has been interviewed by Canada AM, CTV, Canada News Net, the Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star and has given lectures on immigration topics overseas.

Fadi Minawi

Mr, Minawi is a Partner at Visaplace Legal (VPL). He is a New York licensed attorney, and practices in all US/Federal matters focusing on immigration. Mr. Minawi assists with matters relating to business immigration (including: relocation, expansion, investments, and work visas), family immigration, litigation, admissibility issues, customs forfeitures and other cross-border issues. He has close to 14 years of experience in US immigration law and has extensive experience dealing with immigration offices throughout the US and Consulates around the world. He has represented clients before US Citizenship and Immigration Services, the US Department of State (DOS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the US Department of Labor.
Mr. Minawi received his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Degree from the University of Toledo, College of Law and his Honours Bachelor of Arts (B.A. Hons.) Degree from the University of Toronto. He is an accomplished attorney also practicing with the affiliate law firm, Niren and Associates, in Toronto, Canada. Mr. Minawi is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

Stephanie Scarborough

Stephanie is a leading Immigration Attorney with over 10 years of experience in the United States. Stephanie is a trusted adviser and has built an industry-proven reputation for processing of high volume H1‐B and L1 petitions.  She is also an active member of the New York Bar Association, the Georgia Bar, and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Before becoming an Immigration Attorney, Stephanie was enlisted in the U.S. Army for more than twelve years. She is known for her humanitarian work, and for extending her legal expertise to handling asylum and deportation cases. More than any of the above, Stephanie is most passionate about helping clients gain the liberty they need and deserve so they can pursue their dreams.

Julio Féliz

US Immigration Attorney

Julio Féliz received his law degree from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, School of Law (2015, Cum Laude); and a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Political Science, (2011, Cum Laude) from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez campus.

After law school he practiced medical malpractice, criminal defense, wills and estates in Puerto Rico; before transitioning fully to immigration law.

For the past five years he has worked with hundreds of clients in various immigration matters, including affirmative applications and visas before the National Visa Center (NVC) and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), removal defense before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).

During his free time, he enjoys mountain biking and cooking.

Taimar Ledee

Taimar Ledee obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in Psychology (2009, Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, and thereafter her Juris Doctor degree (2015) from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, School of Law. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Taimar began working in the Civil Law practice with a focus on Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, Family Law, Employment Law, and Successions. For the past four years, she has been a full-time immigration attorney. As part of her immigration practice, she has worked with multiple types of cases, including Adjustment of Status, Family Sponsorship, Waivers, Temporary Protected Status, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), U Nonimmigrant Visas, and T Nonimmigrant visas before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS); affirmative applications and visas with the National Visa Center (NVC); removal defense, such as Cancellation of Removal and Asylum before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR); as well as Appeals with the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).

Ira Katz

Before his tenure as General Counsel, he was a Senior Attorney at a prominent law firm where he specialized in representing high-tech companies.Mr. Katz has also held positions as International Counsel for an aviation firm and as Chief Legal Officer and Board Member for a medical/dental device manufacturer listed on the OTCBB. His extensive experience includes representing governments in various commercial transactions and disputes.

Zila Katz

Zila Katz is an attorney who was born and raised in New York City to immigrant parents. She has a special understanding of immigrants’ needs. Ms. Katz has over 25 years of legal experience in various areas of law with the last 20 years devoted exclusively to the practice of immigration law.

Ms. Katz has a high success rate in obtaining countless business immigration visas with extensive experience in employment-based immigrant and nonimmigrant visas. Ms. Katz provides answers for effective relocation plans and provides creative solutions for the legal transfer of employees abroad. She handles complex and awkward immigration dilemmas and resolves these issues, providing opportunities for individuals to realize their dream of residing and working in the US legally.

Kaitlyn Dhar

Kaitlyn has practiced as an immigration attorney in Texas, Florida, Illinois, and Vancouver B.C. (Canada). Her practice focuses on employment-based immigration. She helps employers prepare immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions for foreign nationals seeking employment authorization in the U.S., by providing expert consultation on visas, compliance, and consular processing. She has supported employers of all sizes in a multitude of industries and fields, such as 

Fortune 500 multinational corporations and small to midsize employers in the finance, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, information technology, consulting, retail, and fashion industries; top-tier research and educational institutions; athletics field; third-party placement IT Consulting and Staffing industry.

In addition to her experience in employment-based immigration, she has diverse experience in other immigration matters including family-based immigration, student and visitor visa assistance, citizenship, removal defense, and relief for asylum seekers.
